It is likely that you will meet various of our staff while we are looking after your funeral arrangements. Below is a brief introduction to our core team of staff.
Mark Shaw
Mark Shaw founded the business in 2003 and continues to manage the day to day running of the business while looking after client families and carrying out embalming.
Neil Diack joined Mark Shaw Funeral Services as a funeral director in 2016 after a number of years working with other local funeral firms. Neil is generally based at our George Street Office.
Kris Milne has been with Mark Shaw Funeral Services since 2017 and has qualified through the Independent Funeral Directors College. He has been involved with all practical aspects in the business and is now a Funeral Director based primarily at our George Street office.
Alison initially began part time, and then joined on a full time basis in 2019 having previously worked at Aberdeen Crematorium. As Funeral Service Operative Lead, she looks after the team scheduling and standards, as well as being an embalmer. Alison also arranges funeral plans and assists with office administration.
Gemma has several years experience as a Funeral Service Operative and joins us as part of our growing team to help with funerals, care of deceased and preparation of our vehicles.
Natalie joined us in 2022 as a Funeral Service Operative and has since progressed to the role of Funeral Director, making funeral arrangements with families.
Lee joined us in February 2026 with several years experience both as a Funeral Director and Funeral Manager. Lee is based primarily in our new Portlethen Funeral Home.
